Henrietta H. Barrett

"Palmer, Henrietta H. (Heap) Barrett, 87, died peacefully on May 15 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born in Springfield, February 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Delia Heap and has lived in Palmer for most of her life. A graduate of the High School of Commerce and Bay Path College, she served as the secretary in the guidance department of Palmer High School for 23 years before retiring in 1990. She was a more than 50 year member of the Second Baptist Church and a member of its Ladies Society. Her husband Stanley preceded her in death in 1965 and her sister Rosalind Flanagan in 1971. She will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Ruth Ann Henley of Mansfield, Nancy Crews and her husband Thomas of Highlands Ranch, CO, , and Sara Sibik and her husband Charles of Thorndike. She also leaves her 8 precious grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, May 19th at 12:00 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 1050 Thorndike St, Palmer, followed by burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Friends and family may gather at the church from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to pay their respects to the family.
