"Henry Bocon, 83, of S. Hadley, died October 5 at Holyoke Hospital. Born in Montague, May 15, 1922, he was a longtime resident of Turners Falls. He relocated to S. Hadley in 1976 following his marriage to Frances (Niezgoda) Storozuk Bocon. Henry served his country during WWII with the Navy Sea Bees and belonged to the VFW in Turners Falls. He worked for many years at TRW in Greenfield as a tool and dye maker prior to his retirement. A simple man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, feeding the birds, and doting on his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Frances, he will be deeply missed by his three step children , Barbara Rouillard and her husband Richard, of Bonita Springs, FL, Peter Storozuk and his wife Ellie of Orlando, FL, and Kathy Cloutier of S. Hadley. He also leaves his two sisters Helen and Agnes Golembeski of Turners Falls, several nieces and nephews, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 12 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in Mater Dolorosa Church. A family gathering will follow the mass, and committal services will be held at 2:30 p.m. with military honors at Our Lady Czestochowa Cemetery, Turners Falls. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice Life Care, 28 Appleton Street, Holyoke, 01040. "
