"Feeding Hills, Jacqueline Faith Gustafson, age 17, died on September 30, 2017 surrounded by the love and presence of her family and friends. Born May 19, 2000 in Springfield, she was the precious daughter of Jack Gustafson (partner Norma Dinsdale) of Woodstock, CT and Susan (Clow) Gustafson (partner John McCarthy) with whom she lived. Jacqueline lived in Monson for 5 years, moving to Wilbraham for 7 years, and has lived in Feeding Hills for the past 6 years, having just begun her Junior year of high school in the Aspire Program. Jackie was a bright light to all who knew her and her greatest pleasure was listening to Disney princess music. Among her many joys and accomplishments, she was a wheelchair athlete with Team Hoyt New England and participated in over 60 races. Besides her parents, she will be deeply missed by 3 brothers, Jeffrey Chapdelaine and wife Cathy of Grovetown, GA, Timothy Chapdelaine of Feeding Hills who was her devoted caretaker and Kyle Gustafson of Springfield. Additionally her sister in law Anne Chapdelaine of Southampton, her godparents Frank and Patti Chase of Kingston, NH, her running partner BJ Williams and her best friend Grace Sargent, along with a vast network of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were blessed to have her in their lives survive her. She was recently preceded in death by her brother David Chapdelaine. Her faithful companion dogs Sophie and Daisy will miss her as well. The family invites those who wish to attend calling hours on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, (Rte. 20). A service to honor her life will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Second Congregational Church, 1080 Pleasant St, Palmer. Please meet directly at church. In lieu of flowers and for those wishing to honor her memory, donations may be made to Team Hoyt New England, PO Box 33, Rochdale, MA 01542."
