Jeanne M. Boulais

Belchertown - Jeanne M. Boulais, 77, passed away on September 26, 2026, at Christophers Heights. She was born in Lee, Massachusetts, on July 7, 1949, to the late Fernand "Andy" A. and Caroline J. (Auld) Coderre.

Jeanne was raised in Lee, MA and after graduating from high school, she followed her mother’s footsteps attending Framingham State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. Jeanne began her teaching career at Chicopee Comprehensive High School, where she taught from 1972 to 1976 and ultimately where she met her husband, Ray. She had lived in Chicopee and Holyoke prior to relocating to Belchertown in 1980.

After her teaching career, Jeanne worked as an insurance agent for Bell & Hudson Insurance, from which she eventually retired.

Jeanne had a creative spirit and a love for making things beautiful. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sewing, crafting, and selling her crafts at local craft fairs.

Besides her parents Jeanne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Charles Boulais (2003); and her daughter, Adrienne M. Boulais (2020).

She leaves behind her daughter, Christine J. Boulais of Chicopee, who wishes to thank the staff of Christopher Heights for taking care of Jeanne in her final years.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at South Cemetery in Belchertown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Jeanne’s memory.
