Jeanne J. Lafrennie

"South Hadley, Jeanne J. LaFrennie, 85, died peacefully with her devoted family by her side on December 25th. Born in Chicopee on August 21, 1934 she was the daughter of Wilfred and Anna (Auger) Rousseau. When her parents returned to Canada to live, Jeanne was lovinging raised by Wilfred's sister and her husband, Juliette and Ernest Martel. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School and later attended trade school. She worked in administration for many years at the Holyoke Public School system before her retirement. Jeanne and her husband Walter, resided in Holyoke until 1997 and then moved to South Hadley. She loved to cook, read, travel, and enjoyed golfing and bowling in her younger years but she will always be remembered as a very strong woman that was most content when spending time with her family at her home. She will be forever missed by her five children, Joanne Wanat and her husband Fred of West Springfield, Ken and his wife Lynn of West Yarmouth, MA, Michael of South Hadley, Brian and his wife Laura of Palmer and Diane Tuttle and her husband Bob of Longmeadow along with her nine precious grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and her brother, Donald Rousseau and his wife Shirley of Granby. A Memorial Mass will be on Friday, January 3 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Church, please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at The Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. Memorial donation in Jeanne's memory may be made to Holyoke Health Care Center, 52 Cabot St., Holyoke, MA 01040."
