Joanne D. Allard

"Three Rivers - Joanne D. (Champion) Allard, 67, of Central St., died on December 27, 2013. She was born October 7, 1946 in Springfield, daughter of the late Richard and Leonore (Dubie) Champion. She graduated in 1964 from Cathedral High School and furthered her education at the Elms College. Joanne worked as a trainer and membership Director for Pioneer Valley Girl Scout Council for over 30 years. She was the Director of Religious Education at the former St. Anne's parish in Three Rivers, and a current member of St. Thomas' parish. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lawrence Allard of Three Rivers, daughter, Diana Lee Bean Allard (John) of Bangor, ME, and son, Richard Allard (Kristin) of West Suffield, CT. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, Jonah Bean, Katelyn and Keira Allard, and sister, Joyce Isham (David) of Wilbraham. Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Jeanne Noelle Allard Gemme. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home for 9:15 AM on Friday January 3 to follow to a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.
