John S Karczmarczyk

"Palmer - John S. Karczmarczyk, 92, died on May 21, 2018 in Concord, NH. Born at his family's home in Thorndike, January 27, 1926, he was the son of Stanley and Agnes (Romaniak) Karczmarczyk. He lived in Thorndike for the majority of his life and was a graduate of Palmer High School. He earned the rank of SSgt while serving in the US Army during WWII. Upon returning home, John graduated from Bliss Electrical School in Washington, DC. and secured employment in the electrical utility field, retiring as a supervisor from Northeast Utilities. John relocated to New Hampshire after his wife Ardra (Cavanaugh) Karczmarczyk's passing in 2007. He was warmly welcomed by a wonderful group of friends with whom he shared morning coffee, trips to the stores, afternoon ice cream and going out to lunch on Fridays. He will be deeply missed by his two children, John M. Karczmarczyk and significant other Gleta Warren of Mundelein, IL, and Anne Karczmarczyk Saggiotes and husband Charles Saggiotes of Bow, NH along with his 3 grandchildren, Catherine Karczmarczyk, Thomas Karczmarczyk and Max Karczmarczyk Saggiotes. He also leaves nieces and nephews Judy and Paul Brown, Jonathan, Marcia and Andrew Sears, and great niece Kate Brown. Besides his parents and wife, John was predeceased by his siblings Mary Brown and Victoria Sears. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Church followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. (rte.20). The Karczmarczyk family extends their sincere thanks to John's wonderful friends in MA and NH and the staff at White Rock Senior Living Community, John H. Whitaker Place and Presidential Oaks, who treated John with such respect, kindness and humor.
