Joseph T. Mailhott

"Belchertown-Joseph T. Mailhott, Jr. 37, of Sherwood Dr., died Wednesday Nov. 14 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, Dec. 12, 1969, he was the son of Joseph T. and Barbara (Gilman) Mailhott with whom he lived. He has lived in Belchertown for most of his life and was a member of Carpenters Union Local 108 in Springfield. He was presently working for CT Acoustics in Newington, CT. Joey loved the outdoors and was in his element in his boat, "Sunken Treasure", with a fishing pole in his hand and his fishing buddies by his side. When the season changed, he could be found in the woods with his bow or black powder gun hunting for the big one, or out on the ice drilling holes and setting tip ups. He was bigger than life to his family and many friends and would want to be remembered that way. Besides his parents, he will be deeply missed by his sister Lisa Warych and her husband Ed and their daughter, his godchild, Sarah, all of Southington, CT. His grandmother Bernice Gilman of Belchertown along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends will also never forget him. He also leaves a daughter Skyla. Joey's wishes were for no formal services, but to remember him. The family encourages you to grab a fishing pole, go for a walk in the woods, or hang out with friends, and live life tothe fullest, as Joey did. The family also wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for the help that many gave on the night Joey died."
