Judith Ann Moore

Judith Ann Moore, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Born on June 8, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts, Judy led a life marked by service, adventure, and creativity.

Judy proudly served her country as a Captain in the U.S. Army, working as a combat nurse during the Vietnam War. Her dedication to nursing extended beyond her military service as she continued her career at Baystate Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she worked for many years before retiring.

Known affectionately as "Aunty" to her friends and family, she had a zest for life that took her around the globe. Her travels kindled a deep appreciation for Turkish culture, and she cherished the experiences shared with friends along the way. An enthusiast of all things Disney, Judy started a side service in the late 1980s and early 1990s to assist others in booking Disney trips.

In her later years, Judy found joy in knitting and cross-stitching, and she honed her skills as an unbeatable Scrabble player. She was an avid dog lover and was also passionate about her family history, preserving stories and memories for future generations.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alfred and Lula Moore. She leaves behind her brother, Gary Moore, and his wife Pauline, of Victor, New York; her nephew, Jason Moore, his wife Mili Khanna and their children Aryan and Tejas Moore, of Victor, New York; niece, Melissa Minichiello, her husband Gregg and their children John and Kaitlyn, of Webster, New York; and her niece, Deborah Schaufelberger, her husband Mike and their children Trenton and Skyler of Merrimack, New Hampshire.

A chapel service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans' Cemetery in Agawam, where military honors will be rendered in recognition of her honorable and faithful duty to our country.
