Julia Mary Kopacz

"Belchertown- Julia M. (Bielecki) Kopacz, 81, of Stebbins St. died April 6, 2004 at Meadowood Nursing Home with her family by her side. Born March 17, 1923 in Ludlow, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Zych)Bielecki. Julia worked at Wing Memorial Hospital for many years in the dietary department. She was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed tatting. Mrs. Kopacz was predeceased by her husband John J. Sr. in 2001 and is survived by her three devoted children Betty and her husband William Wallace, John Jr. and his wife Sandra Kopacz, and Stanley and his wife Debra Kopacz all of Belchertown. She also leaves a sister Mary Kadzik of Springfield, six cherished grandchildren Samantha Kopacz and Debra Sternala of Belchertown, Amy Wallace of Denver, CO, Katie Kopacz of Belchertown, and Zachary Kopacz of Oak Harbor, Washington, one great granddaughter Hailey Sternala of Belchertown, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Julia was predeceased by her grandson Justin W. Wallace in 1996. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery in Three Rivers. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Donations may be made in Mrs. Kopacz’s memory to the W. Mass.
