Karen Ann Krusell
Apr 22, 1953 — Jul 19, 2025
It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved aunt, Karen on 7/19/2025.
She was a cherished pillar of strength, grace, and boundless love.
Despite facing ongoing health challenges for most of her life, Karen never let her condition define her spirit. Her love knew no limits, she celebrated every milestone and accomplishment of her nephew and his family as if they were her own. She always made sure to be present for birthdays, graduations, and new beginnings in the way she could. Her presence was always felt through thoughtful, selfless gestures that spoke volumes of her devotion.
She lived a life rooted in kindness, social justice, advocacy & reform. She gave wholeheartedly to the people she loved and just the same to those who were in need, without a voice of their own.
She was a devoted aunt, daughter and friend who was always present and supportive. She was the ultimate caretaker of her parents in spite of her being many miles away.
Karen will be remembered as a brilliant woman with the sharpest wit and an abundant sense of humor. Though however sweet she may have been; she was also a fierce opponent to injustice.
We can also never forget how Karen was very skilled with her needlework as well as being gifted in the kitchen with her scrumptious baked goods.
She will be profoundly missed but forever a part of the hearts of her surviving family; Rich, Carmen, Armando, Alejandro, Ann, Doris, best friend Cher and many others whose lives’ she touched.
She is now resting in eternal peace beside her parents; Richard & Mary at Walnut Grove Cemetery in North Brookfield Massachusetts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness in her memory—a fitting tribute to a woman who lived her life giving to others.
Also, a special thank you to all who helped and accommodated her throughout the years to make her life a little-less complicated.
