Karl K. Kuenzel

"Mr. Karl (Jack) K. Kuenzel, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Holyoke Medical Center. Born on May 16, 1934 in Holyoke, MA he was the son of Erdman and Eva (Brien) Kuenzel. He was a lifelong resident of South Hadley and retired to Parrish, FL before returning to MA. He was enlisted in the US Army from January 1957 to January 1959. He worked as a sheet metal worker and was a long-term member of the Sheet Metal Worker Local Union 63. He was an active member of the Mt Tom Lodge Masons and received a medal for 50 years of service in May 2015. He was an avid lover of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and watched the games faithfully. Karl is predeceased by his loving wife Patricia (Riepold) Kuenzel, who passed away in January 2018, and 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Karl will be dearly missed by his son Kenneth and his wife Lorraine (Tartaglia) Kuenzel of Chatham MA, his daughter Paula (Kuenzel) Holmes and her husband Joseph Holmes of Chicopee MA, his daughter Sharon (Kuenzel) Colabello and her husband Patrick Colabello of Brimfield MA, and his daughter Donna Kuenzel of Roswell, GA. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may gather at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 9:30 am to follow in procession to Forestdale Cemetery in Holyoke for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service. You may also meet directly as the cemetery.
