Lolita K. Seyffer

"Lolita Kingsbury Seyffer of Loomis Village in South Hadley died peacefully at the age of 91 on August 8, 2016 after a long and well-lived life. She will be greatly missed by her husband Kenneth W. Seyffer and her four daughters, Laura Dorman, Louise Kane, Katherine Opdycke and Virginia Lewis, four sons-in-law, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Katherine Mabie. She and her husband settled in Holyoke to raise a family and contribute to the community. Her family meant the world to her and she loved nothing more than gathering them around her. Lita gave to her community with boundless energy serving on numerous committees and boards including the Jr. League of Holyoke and was a dedicated volunteer of Loomis Communities for 29 years where she was the recipient of the Loomis Elvira Whiting Award. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date with details being arranged by Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Loomis Communities.
