Madeline G. Casavant

"Brimfield- Madeline G. (Leblond) Casavant, 96, widow of Lucien V. Casavant, passed away June 8, 2014. She was born in Plainfield, Ct. on November 25, 1917, daughter to the late Edmond and Emma (Brodeur) Leblond of Plainfield CT, formerly of Canada. She attended school at The Academy in Plainfield, CT. Most recently Madeline lived in Winsted, CT for 26 years, previously residing in Brimfield MA from the 1950's to the 1980's. In 2011, she returned to Brimfield. She was a communicant of St. Christopher's Church. During her time in Brimfield, the family owned a dairy farm. Madeline enjoyed reading, oil painting, baking, sewing, and traveling the country in the family RV. In 1986, Madeline lost her husband, Lucien Victor Casavant. She will be dearly missed by her children, Roger of Rockland MA, Theresa of Tucson AZ, Rene of Warren MA, Urban of Milo ME, Julien (Diane) of Corinth ME, Dennis (Cindy) of Troutville VA, Flora Kryzak (Dennis) of Northampton MA, Mary Hull (Peter) of Monson MA, Dianne of Killington Vt, Paul (Patricia) of Easthampton MA, Mary Jane Raymond (Ronald) North Haledon NJ, and Michael (Laura) of Simpsonville SC, along with 30 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren. Madeline is survived by her sisters Mary Jane Leblond, Irene Leblond and Rita Pasquarello of CT, and Beatrice Rodrigue of CA. Along with her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Lilyanne Kutt, and her siblings Roger, Leonce, and Elianne Leblond. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Christopher's Church. The burial will be on Saturday, June 14th at Evergreen Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. in Milo, ME.
