Madge Pixley

"New Britain, CT, Madge (Lucia) Pixley, 86, died Friday, June 26. Born in Ware, MA December 7, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Harriet (Thomas) Lucia and lived most of her life in Monson before moving to Belchertown prior to her move to CT. Her husband, George preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Toner and her husband James of Rocky Hill, and Kathryn Gaudette and her husband George of Ocala, FL. She also leaves her 5 grandchildren, Jesse and Sarah Gaudette, Christopher, Patrick and James Toner, and 7 great grandchildren. Her half brother Merrill "Bud" Lucia of CT and half sisters Rose Baker of KY and Melissa Allen of OK, also survive her. Besides her parents and husband, 9 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. A service to remember her life will be Tuesday, July 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte. 20). For those wishing donations may be made in her memory to either Macular Degeneration or the American Cancer Society. "
