Marcia A. Ochs

"Palmer, Marcia Ann ( Nicholas) Ochs, 52, of Maple St. died with courage on Saturday, May 23 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Palmer, October 12, 1962, she was the daughter of the late George and Cecelia (Cameron) Nicholas and has lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of Palmer High School and Holyoke Community College. She worked for several years as an aide in the Converse Middle School, and for the past 20 years has worked in the Superintendent's Office. She was a bright light for many and was first and foremost a "family woman". She will be deeply missed by her best friend and husband of 32 years, Larry J. Ochs, Jr., along with her two children Jaclyn E. Gilmore of Monson, and Tyler J. of New Bedford. She also leaves her precious granddaughter Steffanie Gilmore along with her siblings Gayle Nicholas of San Diego, CA and Robert Nicholas of Palmer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Mark Nicholas in 1977. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be Thursday, May 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church, 1080 Pleasant St, Palmer.
