Margaret J. Beauchemin

"Granby - Margaret J. Beauchemin, 82, died on June 20 at Baystate Medical Center with her devoted family by her side. Born May 27, 1937 in Mifflintown, PA, she was the daughter of Samuel and Margaret R. McBlair. Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. In her leisure she enjoyed reading, watching her favorite TV shows and time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Theophile P. Beauchemin, in 2018. She will be deeply missed by five daughters, Lynne Dent, Jodi and Jim Morrione, Trudy and David Turcotte, Traci Beauchemin and Russell St. Andre, and Jamie Beauchemin and Robert Jarvis along with 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Her sister, Julie and Murphy Duplantis of Houma, LA and her godson, Scott and Pam Duplantis of Houston, TX also survive her. A celebration of Margaret's life will be on Tuesday, June 25th at 11:00 am at Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to the Granby Library.
