Belchertown-Marguerite E. (Prescott) Harris, 82, passed away March 23, 2023 with the love of her family surrounding her. Born August 15, 1940 in Pelham, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Esther (Squires) Prescott. Marguerite grew up in Pelham and has lived in Belchertown for over 50 years. In her younger years, Marguerite worked at Umass and also in the Belchertown Public Schools. She then when on to run the office for her late husband, Roger E. Harris, at Harris Milk Transportation. In her leisure, she enjoyed sewing, puzzles, was an avid Red Sox fan along with feeding and watching the birds. Marguerite's greatest joy was the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 2014, she was predeceased by her second husband, Roger E. Harris. Marguerite's memory will forever be cherished by her children, Dennis Drew, Edward and his wife Lisa Drew, all of Belchertown, Karen Dulude of Barre and Kevin Drew of Port Orange, FL. Gram, as she was lovingly called, also leaves her five grandchildren, six great grandchildren as well as a brother, Randall Prescott and his wife Carol and dear niece, Darlene Beatty as well as her first husband, Alred C. Drew, Jr. Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service on Thursday, March 30th at 11 a.m. at South Cemetery. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
