Marjorie Emma Bedell

" Marjorie E. (Hartwell) Bedell, 88, of Conz St, died Aug. 23 in Cooley Dickinson Hosp. Born in Lyndonville, VT, May 18, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Lois (Batchelder) Hartwell. Marjorie was a graduate of Lyndonville High School and lived for a time in New Hampshire before moving to Palmer, MA, where she worked for the Better Brush Company for many years before retiring in 1980. After retirement, she moved to Northampton where she worked and volunteered for the Highland Valley Elder Services for 19 years. She is survived by a son James A. Bedell of Ware, two daughters Patricia Shene of Lyndonville, VT and Elaine and her husband Red Achenback of Shoemakersville, PA, along with 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a great granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son Ronald in 2001 and a grandson Steven Bruce Wentworth, a Marine was killed in Beirut 1983. A private graveside service will be held in Vermont. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. "
