"Turner Falls - Marlene A. (Mears) Chevalier, 61, passed away on March 5, 2010 in Baystate Medical Center. Born December 26, 1948 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Simone (Bourrud) Mears and the late James Mears, Sr. Marlene worked as an attendant for 20 years at the former Belchertown State School. Besides her mother, she is survived by a daughter Corina Wardwell and husband Richard of Granby, sister Simone Lechenne and husband Roger of Belchertown, two brothers James Mears, Jr. of Granby and Daniel Mears of Belchertown. Two granddaughters Breanna and Holly will also miss her. Services will be held at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday; from 4:30-6:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made at local Humane Society. "
