Midred M. Foskit

"Mildred M.(Hecment) Foskit, 96, formerly of Barker St., in the Three Rivers section of Palmer, died peacefully Monday, December 13 surrounded by family. Born in Palmer, July 7, 1914, she was a lifelong resident. After receiving her nursing degree, she worked for a time at Wing Memorial Hospital. She later retired from Monson Developmental Center after 30 years as night supervisor. In her leisure, she enjoyed oil painting, gardening travelling and crafts. She also enjoyed taking care of the farm animals. She was a devoted volunteer for the American Red Cross, and was a member of the Palmer Grange. She will be deeply missed by her two sons George Foskit and Ronald Foskit both of Three Rivers. She also leaves two granddaughters Billie Jo Foskit-Nulph of Three Rivers and Sue Custance of Brimfield, along with two great grandsons, Aiden Custance and Evan Foskit-Nulph. Besides her parents, her husband George preceded her in death. A memorial service will be Friday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by burial in Four Corners Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to the American Red Cross. "
