N.Anita Russis

"Palmer - N. Anita Russis , 77, of Wilson St. died on June 16, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center. Born August 16, 1934 in Mifflintown, PA, she was the daughter of James G. and Nellie (Dumm) Pannebaker. Anita served her country in the WAC during Korea and was a long time resident of the villages of Palmer where she worked at Diamond National/Cascades. After many years of employment, she retired from Cascades in April of 1998. Attending services at Crossway Christian Church in Palmer, Anita also was a part of their Bible Study Group and enjoyed serving the Lord. She also took enjoyment in time spent gardening. Anita leaves her three children, Ronald Lee Russis with whom she lived, Peggy Diane Villarreal of Tulsa, OK, and William Robert Russis of Richmond, VA along with three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Anita was predeceased by her brothers George, Jim and Cloyd Pannebaker. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N.Main St. Palmer, MA. Friends and family may gather on Friday between 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Marais to officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery. "
