P. Leonie Wallace

P. Leonie "Lee" (DeBlois) Wallace, 101, of Bayside, New York formerly of Belchertown, passed away April 30, 2022. She was born on September 8, 1920 in Springfield, MA to Leo and Alice (Choiniere) DeBlois. Leonie moved to Belchertown in 1959, where she lived until 2017 before relocating to Bayside. NY to be closer to her son. She was the co-owner of Wallace Hardware & Grog Shoppe where she worked alongside her late husband Edmund as a bookkeeper until she retired in 1985. Lee was a communicant of St. Francis Church and a member and former treasurer of the Tri-Lake Water Shed Association. In her leisure she enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her son Edmund F. Wallace, Jr. of Bayside, NY and three grandsons. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund F. Wallace in 2003 and her son, Paul J. Wallace in 2019. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. A calling hour will precede the Mass at the church from 10:00-11:00 am.
