Patrick "George" Hennessey

"Belchertown, Patrick "George" Hennessey, 84, died on April 12 at the Hospice of the Fisher Home with his loving family by his side. Born in Holyoke on October 5, 1930 he was the son of Raymond and Hazel (Stevens) Hennessey. George and his wife Joan (Adams) of 62 years called Belchertown their home for the past 51 years. He worked for Grace-Demos Furniture Co in Holyoke for 35 years. He enjoyed time spent outdoors at his home but most especially the time he shared with his family. He will be forever missed by his wife Joan along with their children, Mark and his wife Joan of Cushing, MN and Steven and his wife Marie of Belchertown along with his three grandchildren, Scott Hennessey and his wife Laurna, Adam Hennessey and his finance Jess and Stacy Nadeau and her husband Tim, and three great grandchildren, Shane, Connor and Zachary. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Calling hours from 4:00 - 6:00 pm will precede the service. Burial will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at South Cemetery. The family acknowledges with gratitude the extraordinary and compassionate care provided to George and the family. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the Fisher Home, 1165 N. Pleasant St., Amherst, MA 01002."
