Paul W. Dion

"Belchertown, MA - Paul W. Dion, loving husband and father passed away December 15 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield from complications of Crohn’s Disease at age 69. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Joy Dion, and sons Jason Paul Dion and James Paul Dion. He was predeceased by his mother Alice Smith Kirkland of Springfield and Hampton, Va., and his sister Bonnie Langevin of Washington State. Paul retired after 25 years from Quabaug Corporation of North Brookfield and was also co-proprietor of Dion Tack Shop in Amherst. Paul’s greatest passion was his love of all things Native American. He attended numerous powwows throughout New England and New York, often camping with his many Native friends. He would return home smelling of campfires and sage and we knew it was a good trip. At Paul’s request, there will be no services. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements."
