Peter K. Minkley

"Palmer - Peter K. Minkley, 60, of Palmer, passed away Sunday, December 13 at Hospice of the Fischer Home. Peter was born in Trenton, NJ, May 17, 1955, and was the son of Herman Minkley of AZ and the late Geraldine Minkley. He lived in the Palmer area his whole life and was a truck driver for several local trucking companies. Peter was a member of Crossway Christian Church and loved outdoor activities, especially fishing and boating. He enjoyed time spent with family. In addition to his beloved wife Ruth (Freeman), Peter will be missed by his two daughters, Laura Hebert and her boyfriend Scott Smith of Bondsville, and Nicole Minkley and her boyfriend Bryan Cort of Chicopee; stepchildren Ashley Before of Palmer, and Justin Before of Ludlow; siblings Paul and David of Texas, Debbie Mann of Belchertown, Ruth Maio of Springfield, Stephen of North Carolina, and Jonathan of California. He also leaves his nine precious grandchildren, Devin and Dakota Hebert, Brandon andCameron Cort, Alex Before, Abigail Watson, Syrenna Cort, Aiden Watson and Bentley Before, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17 from 5-7 P.M at the Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Crossway Christian Church, 2230 Main St. Three Rivers with a burial to follow in South Cemetery, Belchertown. "
