" Ralph E. Wilson, 85, of East St in the Three Rivers section of Palmer, died Thursday at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born in Everson, PA, April 1, 1917, he has lived in Three Rivers since 1948. Ralph served with the Army during WWII in an antiaircraft artillery battalion. He served overseas and was very proud of his involvement in helping liberate Dachau Concentration Camp. Mr. Wilson worked for 43 years at Monsanto Chemical Company, retiring in 1979. He was an avid gardener, his vegetable garden helping to feed his neighbors, and his brilliant green lawn the envy of all. Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude (Pimpare) Wilson in 1987. He is survived by his daughter Patricia and son in law Paul Narreau of Three Rivers, a son Richard E. Wilson of NY, along with two sisters Ruth Farner of W. Lafayette, Ind., and Helen Gadd of Connellsville, PA. He also leaves 4 grandchildren, Daniel Narreau, and Glenn , Melissa and Holly Wilson. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, John, Frank and Harold Wilson. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a mass in St. Anne’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday (today) from 2:00—4:00 and 7:00—9:00 p.m. Please make donations in his memory to St. Anne’s Church, 2230 Main St., Three Rivers, 01080. "
