Raymond A. Vachon

"Three Rivers, MA, Raymond A. Vachon, 67, died peacefully on Sunday, August 31st at Baystate Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born on May 22, 1947 in Fitchburg and was the son of Alfred and Rita (Therrien) Vachon. Ray grew up in Ashby and Fitchburg, residing in the area until 1987 when he relocated to Palmer. He was a highly skilled printer working for various large printing companies over his 33 year career. Ray was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling the East Coast, hunting, fishing and camping along with being an avid New England sports fan. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 42 years, Linda (Griffin) Vachon, along with their two children, Gregory with whom he lived and Amy Vachon Roy of Belmont, NH. His two precious grandchildren, Anthony and Brandon Roy and his sister, Annette Vachon of Johnson, VT also survive him. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Ronald. Calling hours will be on Friday, September 12th from 5-7 pm at the Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N.
