Rene R. Leroux

"Thorndike - Rene R. Leroux, 79, passed away on December 9, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 10, 1936 in Palmer, son of Alfred and Marie (Plante) Leroux. A lifelong resident and graduate of Palmer High School who proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. Rene worked as a machinist for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching and playing softball, football and baseball. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol (Bovat) Leroux, 3 daughters, Corinne Kingston-Samek and husband Mike, Cynthia Pascale and partner Donald Wood and Cheri Smith and husband Chris, all of Palmer. He also leaves his sister, Lucille Silva, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rene was preceded in death by siblings, Bernard, Paul, Horace, Louis and Leona. A Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m at St. Thomas Cemetery in Palmer.
