Richard L. Felt

"SOUTH HADLEY — Richard L. Felt, 61, died on Tuesday, June 16 at his home, with his family by his side, following a long illness. He was born on February 10, 1954 and was the son of Norman and Margaret Felt of Sudbury. He was educated in Sudbury and later graduated from the Business Education Institute in Springfield. Rich and his family moved to South Hadley in 1991, after previously living in Amherst. A talented technician, Rich worked for Coveris as a Senior Computer Programmer Analyst. He will be missed by his wife of 31 years, Lynn (Fydenkevez) Felt along with their children, Jeremy, Stephanie and Daniel, and grandson, Benjamin. He is also survived by his brothers, Christopher and his wife Heidi of Lancaster, and Keith and his partner Elizabeth Forsberg of Hudson, in laws, Richard and Elizabeth Fydenkevez of Hadley, sister in law, Carol Szymkowicz and husband Stephen of Hadley, brothers in laws, Mark Fydenkevez and wife Barbara of Longmeadow, Glenn Fydenkevez and wife Lisa of East Longmeadow and Anthony Fyden and wife Amy of Hadley, along with many nieces and nephews. Rich was an Air Force veteran, serving in London, England, Florida and Texas in the 1970s. He enjoyed spending time with his family and vacationing in Ogunquit, Maine. He loved to read and also enjoyed tabletop gaming with his children. Calling hours will be on Monday, June 22 from 5-7 p.m. at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A brief prayer service will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at The Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, at 1 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the family in care of Beers and Story Funeral Home for help with services."
