Richard L. Gorham

"Palmer-Richard L. Gorham, 76, of Palmer Rd. in the Three Rivers section of Palmer, died November 23, 2010. Born in Burlington, VT on July 24, 1934, he was the son of the late Emily R. (Gorham) Brown. Richard has lived in Palmer for over 20 years, previously of Ludlow. Retiring from Avery Denison in Chicopee, the former National Blank Book in Holyoke, where he worked for over 25 years as a material handler. Richard enjoyed Bingo, puzzles, watching western movies, country music, and most of all, his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Goldie (Menard), along with his beloved children, Keith Gorham and his wife Christina of Monson, Kimberly Churchill and her husband Gary with whom he lived. He also leaves 6 cherished grandchildren, dog Lexi, and siblings Virginia Swift, Clifford and Norman Brown along with many cousins and extended family. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a service to follow Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery.
