Rosalie E. Carey

"Three Rivers section of Palmer- Rosalie E. (Gannon) Carey, 82, of Cheney St., died peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and care of her family on Thursday, April 7. Born in Scranton, PA, January 3, 1929, she moved to this area in 1955. She was a 20 year employee of the former Polynet in Wilbraham, retiring in 1994. A devoted communicant of the former St. Anne Church, she was presently a communicant of Divine Mercy Church. In her leisure, Rosalie enjoyed her family and close friends, along with her workouts at Asylum Fitness. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles. Her husband of 51 years, Frank, preceded her in death in 2000. She will be deeply missed by her 3 children, Colleen Figula of Sierra Vista, AZ, Barbara Gill and her husband Walter of Palmer and Fran Carey and his wife Kathleen of Agawam. She also leaves her 2 precious granddaughters, Jacqueline Gill and Kelly (Figula) Deichert and Kelly's husband Christian, along with her brother- in-law William Dubuque and several nieces and nephews. Her dear friends Bette Borowiec and Barbara Loveling also survive her. Besides her parents and husband, her sister Mary Dubuque preceded her in death. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery.
