Sophie A. Butler

" Bondsville - Sophie A. (Gwozdz) Butler, 71, of High St., died on March 4, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 17, 1941 in Palmer, daughter of the late Bolac and Cora (Topor) Gwozdz. Sophie retired, as a personal care attendant for Western Mass. Training Consortium and previously worked at the Belchertown State School. She was a member of the Palmer Senior Center and Red Hats Society. She is survived by four children, Carol Maillet, John Butler Jr., William Butler and wife Lisa and Wayne Butler all of Bondsville. She also leaves a sister, Mary Holbrook of Bondsville and husband George, a brother, Walter Gwozdz and wife Linda of FL, seven grandchildren Penny, Kyleen and husband Joshua, Cassondra, Garrette, Andrew, Nicholas and Jacob and five great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, March 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palmer Senior Center. "
