Belchertown-Theresa Marie (Gosselin) Garrison, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the age of 88. Born on September 23,1937, in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of Ulric and Marie (Corriveau) Gosselin. Theresa resided in Belchertown, MA for over 25 years. Prior to Belchertown, Theresa Lived in Chicopee.
Theresa dedicated 12 years of her professional life to J Polep Distributors, where she worked in Quality Control within the manufacturing industry. She was a cherished member of St. Francis Church in Belchertown and sang in the choir both there and previously at the Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke.
Theresa’s heart was deeply rooted in her family. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David H. Garrison; her children, Edward Beauchemin and his wife Valerie of Eastham, Jane Wolfe of Belchertown, Diane Blais and her husband Jeffrey of Brookfield, Judith Beaudry and son in law David of Springfield, and Lorna DiSantis and her husband Peter of Feeding Hills; her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her legacy also lives on through several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Laurier Gosselin, her children Michelle Beauchemin and Kenneth Beauchemin, her granddaughter Bethany Blais and son in law George Wolfe.
Theresa found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in camping trips to Springbrook Camp Ground in Shelburne, MA, where she made lasting memories with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her universe, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22 from 4-7 pm at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, July 23 at 10 am at St Francis Church. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9 am to process together to the church.
