Wilfred E. Fleury

"South Hadley - Wilfred E. Fleury, 89, passed away on September 9, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born July 17, 1929 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late Henri and Rhea (Roy) Fleury. Wilfred was raised in Drummondville, Canada and then relocated and raised his family with his wife Patricia in S.Hadley before relocating to Zephyrhills, FL where he lived for the last 25 years. Wilfred retired after working for over 30 years as a draftsman for Tighe & Bond in Westfield. He was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Church, St. Patrick's Church and St. Josephs Church In Zephyrhills, FL. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Wilfred enjoyed spending time at his camp in Florida, MA. He was a wonderful father and grandfather always there for his family. He will be deeply missed by five children, Paul Fleury of Springfield, Peter Fleury of Fort Worth, TX, Michael Fleury and his wife (Michele) of S. Hadley, Karen Halliday and husband (Doug) of Rochester, NH, and Wilfred Fleury, Jr. of Delray Beach, FL. He is also survived by five siblings, Alfred Fleury (Yvette), Claudette Blanchette (Henri), Solange Lauzon, Yvon Fleury (Mireille) and Francine Tourigney (Henri), 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Wilfred was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia (Clark) Fleury and his second wife Dolores (Moran) Fleury. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in S. Hadley. Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Patrick's Church, 30 Main St., S. Hadley, MA 01075."
