"Ludlow - William "Bud" R. Stone, 88, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2015 at Wingate at Wilbraham. He was born August 3, 1926 in Marlborough, MA, son of Lloyd and Bessie J. (Harris) Stone. Bud was a lifelong resident of Ludlow and was employed by the Town of Ludlow as a truck driver for more than 30 years. He will be remembered by his co-workers as "Rocky". He was predeceased by his siblings, Evelyn L. Butler, John B. Stone, Elwell Stone, Richard Stone, Warren Stone, Loyd Stone and Ralph Stone. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, including his nephew Gary Butler, with whom he lived. The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Wingate at Wilbraham for their loving care to Bud, as well as to his special friend Leo. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 7th at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
