Dale S. Hancock

Jul 16, 1951 — Oct 5, 2026

Dale S. Hancock, 75, of Ludlow, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. Born on July 16, 1951, in Palmer, Massachusetts, Dale was the son of the late Austin and Anita (Paquette) Hancock. He was also predeceased by his brother, John "Duane" Hancock.

Dale spent his early years in Palmer and later resided in Monson for over two decades before settling in Ludlow with his beloved wife of 49 years, Suzanne (Poirier) Hancock. Together, they built a life filled with love and family, raising their daughter, Michelle Hancock.

Dale was a dedicated worker throughout his life, owning and operating the Old Colonial Homestead company; a painting and wallpaper business. He later worked for Cherry Hill Condominium and retired as the property manager for The Marion Center in Holyoke.

Dale had a passion and great talent for gardening and woodworking. He also found joy in antiquing and exploring flea markets, always on the hunt for a new addition to his cherished beer sign collection.

Dale is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his daughter, Michelle both of Ludlow; his brother, James "Doug" Hancock of Ware, an extensive in-law family, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a prayer service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dakin Humane Society (dakinhumane.org) or the American Heart Association (heart.org) in Dale's memory.
