Dana K Hansen

Chicopee -Dana K. Hansen, 58, passed away March 9, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on May 30, 1964, in Holyoke, MA to Neil C. and Barbara (Briggs) Hansen of Monson. Dana was raised in Monson and attended Monson Schools. He worked at Mass Mutual in the mail room for 15 years before returning to Sunshine Village where he retired in 2020. Dana was involved in the Special Olympics Bowling, he loved fishing, making puzzles and Uno cards. He enjoyed going out to eat and was always happy and always a big smile on his face. Dana was predeceased by his father, Neil C. Hansen and his brother, Neil C Hansen, Jr. He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Hansen of Monson and siblings, Denise Hansen of Monson, Jeffrey Hansen of Springfield, and Holly Olson of Palmer. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, caregivers, and friends. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Mar. 17, 2023, at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home from 9:30-11:00am followed by a service at 11:00a.m. Burial will take place at St. Thomas Cemetery in Palmer.
