Daniel William Sullivan

Apr 8, 1951 — Jul 30, 2026

Daniel William Sullivan, known to family and friends as Danny or Sully, passed away on July 30, 2026 at the age of 75. Born on April 8, 1951 in Three Rivers, Massachusetts, Danny was the son of the late Francis John Sullivan Sr. and Shirley Jean (Weldon) Sullivan. He was the beloved husband of Linda O’Leary Sullivan.

Danny graduated from Palmer High in 1969, where he was a standout football player. He went on to pursue his passion for history at American International College, earning his bachelor’s degree in 1973 while working to support his young family.

Danny’s career was shaped by the economic challenges of the early 1980s. He later found his calling as an independent driver for ABC Package Express, combining his love of driving with the freedom to stop and fish whenever the opportunity arose.

Through mutual friends, Danny met his wife Linda (O’Leary) Sullivan, marrying in 1987. The two shared a beautiful partnership for nearly 40 years. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and family. They took many trips to Cape Cod and New Hampshire to explore and enjoy nature.

Danny was an avid fisherman, and he delighted in sharing the sport with his wife, his daughters, and later each of his six grandchildren. He was also a devoted fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, and Notre Dame football. He loved movies and reading, which fueled his love of learning. Danny also loved swimming at the YMCA, especially when joined by his grandchildren.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife Linda O’Leary Sullivan of Chicopee; his daughters Kelly Ann Sullivan Vosnakis of East Brookfield and Eileen Katherine Sullivan DeMings of Sturbridge; his sons-in-law, Steven Vosnakis and David DeMings; his cherished grandchildren, Colleen Katherine, Teddy Ross, and David Robert DeMings; his triplet grandsons Foster Nicholas, Morgan James, and Liam Daniel Vosnakis; his brother, Francis John Sullivan Jr., his sister-in-law Judy Sullivan; his three nephews, Robert, Erin, and Patrick Sullivan; many cousins; and numerous dear friends.

Visitation will be held at the Beers & Story Funeral Home in Palmer, Massachusetts on August 6, 2026 from 4 PM to 6 PM, immediately followed by a memorial service at 6 PM.
