Three Rivers, MA Edmund F. Wojtowicz, 93 passed away peacefully on Sat., Dec 19, 2020. He was born in Three Rivers, MA on Aug. 2, 1927, son of the late Frank and Julia (Kwiatowski) Wojtowicz. He was a proud WWII Navy Veteran, serving aboard the Billie Mitchell Transport Ship. Eddie built and operated the Cement Well & Drain Tile Co. in Three Rivers for over 40 years. An avid card player, bowler, tennis player, and fisherman, Eddie helped form the Amvets and Burleigh Park horseshoe leagues, playing for over 32 years. He met his wife, Pauline (Bracci) Wojtowicz, at the former Forest Lake Pavilion, Polka dancing. They enjoyed all the dances in the area and Las Vegas. Eddie and Pauline spent 30 years wintering in Naples, FL. He was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish, member of St. Stanislaus Club, and AMVETS POST 164, all in Three Rivers. Family was very important to Eddie, many cruises and vacations with all 17 together. Eddie will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Pauline, of 71 years, his daughter Paula (Allan) Bessette of WA, his son, Peter (Paulette) of Palmer, his daughter, Jean (William) Masztal of Ware; 8 grandchildren: Eric Bessette of WA, Dr. Jean Bessette (Dr. Tom Pashby) of VT, Jeffrey Wojtowicz of CO, Bryan Wojtowicz of AZ, Jillian (Al) Bonino of Walpole, MA, Jennifer Masztal of VT, Michael Masztal of Medford, MA and Gregory Masztal of CA, and many nieces and nephews. Eddie was predeceased by his sister, Sophie Valtelhas and brother, Joseph. Services will be on Monday Dec. 28, 2020 beginning from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home at 10a.m. There will be a calling hour from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Virtual livestream of the service may be accessed by clicking https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/905779309.
