Ernest "Rusty" Lambert
Apr 20, 1965 — Oct 25, 2025
Ernest “Rusty” Lee Lambert, born on April 20, 1965, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Hampden, Massachusetts. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, devoted father and grandfather, and cherished friend who faced a courageous yearlong battle with metastatic melanoma to the brain.
Rusty is survived by his longtime partner, Elizabeth Lund; his parents, Ernest A. and Anita (Sevarino) Lambert; his daughter, Ashley Derosier and her husband Andrew of Russell, MA; and his son, Gregory Anadon of Holyoke. He also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren -Skylar, Lexi, Lily, and Calvin—who were the lights of his life.
He shared an unbreakable bond with his sisters, Anita Lambert and her partner Tony of Hampden, MA, and Melissa Lambert of St. Petersburg, FL, as well as with his best friend and cousin, Skip McAndrews, and Skip’s wife, Paula, of Ware, MA.
Over the course of 40 years, Rusty dedicated himself to the construction field, specializing in drywall alongside his cousin Skip. He was known for his strong work ethic and his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Rusty found peace and joy in the outdoors, whether hiking at the Quabbin Reservoir, being at the river or tending his garden. He was passionate about candlepin bowling, loved riding his E-bike, and enjoyed music—especially playing music trivia with friends and family.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 8th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by closing remembrances from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, Palmer, MA. A reception will immediately follow at Villa Rose Restaurant, 1428 Center Street, Ludlow, MA 01056.
