Neil F. Robbins

It is with great sorrow that we note the passing of Neil F. Robbins, 84, of Ludlow, MA, on June 6, 2022. Son of the late Francis and Ebba (Carlson) Robbins, he was born in Ware, MA on Feburuary 4, 1938. Neil is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Deborah Robbins, son Neil, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC, daughter Heather Strange of Ludlow, MA, and daughter Heidi Kellet and her husband Richard of Southwick, MA, and 6 cherished grandchildren, and 3 adored great-grandchildren and 12 beloved siblings. He was a veteran proud to have served in the United States Army and Army National Guards. He worked many years in the construction field as an Operating Engineer with the Local 98. Then, in retirement Neil took pride in being the best "Papa" he could be. He was a passionate Red Sox fan, had fun at the Ludlow senior center, enjoyed the outdoors and he loved to play cards with family and friends. Never one to rest, Neil was always ready and willing to help his family and neighbors. He will be loved and missed by many. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow with honors in St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
