Peter Geer

Peter Emerson Geer, born June 14, 1958, departed this life peacefully on December 14, 2025. Though he is now gone, Peter lives on in the hearts and memories of his friends, family, and all whose lives he touched.

Peter had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome and deeply valued. He could brighten any room with his quiet wisdom, his quick wit, or one of the thoughtful quips he so often shared on the chalkboard outside his home—words that reflected his humor, insight, and generous spirit.

Peter is survived by his cherished daughter, Taylor Stover, and her husband, Eddie, with whom he spent many joyful days on Block Island. He was especially blessed by the arrival of his beloved granddaughter, Ryland, who lovingly knew him as “Grampa.” He is also survived by his siblings, Stanton Geer, David Geer, Nancy Cole, and Susan Shea.

A dedicated professional, Peter enjoyed a successful career as an industrial regional manager, bringing passion and integrity to his work with Warren Pumps and Weir Specialty Group. He took great pride in his career, especially cherishing opportunities when business travel allowed him to see different parts of the world alongside his favorite travel partner—his daughter, Taylor.

After retiring, Peter returned to his entrepreneurial roots, having previously founded and operated his own landscaping company. This experience led him to a new calling as the leader of the garden section at Home Depot, where he deepened his love of planting and found joy in helping others discover and cultivate their own appreciation for gardening.

Peter was a proud and devoted member of his community and found deep fulfillment in helping others—especially when it meant lending a hand to a neighbor in need. He was also a proud member of The Sons of Amvets in Three Rivers, Massachusetts. Above all, Peter embraced life fully and enthusiastically. He found joy in golfing, skiing, fishing, and reading, and was a devoted animal lover who shared his life with many dogs over the years. Each was a cherished companion who brought him immeasurable happiness.

To honor Peter and his lifelong commitment to community, donations in his memory may be made to the Mary D Fund of Block Island, the Block Island Community and the good work the Mary D Fund does was a cause close to his heart. A graveside service will be held on Friday June 5, 2026 at 11:00am at Four Corners Cemetery in Three Rivers, MA. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
