Ramona L. Fowler

Monson -Ramona L. (Plumpton) Fowler, 73, passed away on April 22, 2023, at home with her family by her side. She was born on September 5, 1949, in Wilbraham, MA to Charles and Ramona (Gatelee) Plumpton. Moni was raised in Wilbraham and graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School. Ramona was a military wife and traveled alongside her husband Donald when he was drafted into the Army and was sent to Bangkok, Thailand. After his tour in Thailand, they moved to Monson where they have lived since 1973. Moni loved animals, she ran a farm and had cared for many different animals ranging from chickens, mini horses, goats and peacocks to name a few. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her infectious laugh and love of jewelry. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald R. Fowler of Monson and a daughter, Pamela Hutchins of Palmer. She also leaves her precious grandchildren, Jessica, Summer and Seven Hutchins and great grandchild, Riley Laub. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 9, 2023 at 6:00pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service from 5:00-6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Shriners Hospital in Springfield.
