Alan French

Alan French, of Chicopee, passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 72. A proud truck driver for most of his life, Alan enjoyed making people laugh, woodworking, and helping others whenever he was able.

He is survived by his sons, Charlie and Neil, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, as well as his siblings, Charles French and Mary Poirier. He was preceded in death by his Father Charles Sr, Mother Rita French, and sister Claire Zacharie. Alan will be most remembered for his incredible sense of humor and willingness to lend a hand. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 2:00-4:00pm followed by words of remembrance at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home.
