Dixie Ross Demers

Chicopee- Dixie R. (White) Demers, 91, peacefully passed away September 29, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born September 17, 1932 and was the daughter of Herbert G. and Martha A. (Walz) White. Dixie has lived in Chicopee for her entire life with her late husband, Ernest. In her leisure, she enjoyed working in her yard. Raising her family was by far her number one priority. In 2022, Dixie was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Ernest and she will be deeply missed by her three sons; Glen of Chicopee, Gary of Belchertown, and Keith and wife Cindra of Chicopee. She will also be missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her sister, May Runkle both of Chicopee. Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter in law, wife of Gary, Carol Demers and sisters, Connie Boisvere and Maudie Roberts. All services are private and Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
