John J. Mastorakis

Chicopee- John J. Mastorakis, 78, formerly of Holyoke, passed away December 5, 2023. He was born on January 19, 1945, in Holyoke, to the late James and Edna (Depot) Mastorakis. John enjoyed working with his hands and took pleasure in taking things apart and putting it all back together. Most of all, John loved his family. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. John was predeceased by his parents, James and Edna; his sister, Donna Pasternak; and his daughter-in-law, Michelle Mastorakis. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Melanie (Pasterczyk) Mastorakis; children, James Mastorakis, and Mark and his wife Carla Mastorakis; grandchildren, Brittany, Rachel, Aidan, and Mia; great-grandchildren, Riley and Reese; sisters, Kathy Mastorakis and Ann Hebert; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on December 11, 2023 from 4-7pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on December 12, 2023 at 9am for a funeral procession to St. Jerome's Cemetery in Holyoke.
