Margaret A. Buckley
May 19, 1965 — Jun 29, 2026
Margaret A. Buckley, age 61, passed away suddenly at her home in South Hadley, Massachusetts, on Monday, June 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on April 19, 1965, in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late Frank and Barbara (McGlynn) Hunter. At the age of 2, she moved to South Hadley, where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Margaret was a devoted wife to Jeffrey Buckley, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy, centered around their family. Margaret is survived by her son, Robert Buckley, and his wife, Maritza, of Chicopee, and her daughter, Jennifer Rodriguez, and her husband, Jose, also of Chicopee.
A cherished grandmother, Margaret's greatest joy was her five grandchildren: Natasha, Ashley, Nevaeh, Dante, and Alex. She delighted in watching them grow and play, even going so far as to install a large pool for their enjoyment. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved spending every possible moment with them.
Margaret was also a beloved sister to Donna Archambeau and her brothers Andrew, David, and Bruce Hunter. Her family and friends remember her as a loving and accepting person who would help anyone, regardless of their flaws. Her kindness and compassion were felt by all who knew her.
A member of St. Patrick's Church in South Hadley, Margaret's faith was an integral part of her life. Her legacy of love, acceptance, and family dedication will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A Funeral Mass will be held on July 9, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Patrick's Church 30 Main Street South Hadley, MA.
