Michelle St. Peter

South Hadley- Michelle M. St. Peter, 61, passed away October 12, 2023, with family by her side. She was born on August 29, 1962, in Springfield to the late Albert and Maureen (Murphy) St. Peter. Michelle worked for Verizon for 20 years prior to her retirement and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #148 in Springfield. Michelle loved all sports and played basketball, golf, soccer, and softball. She was an avid fan of the Giants and the Red Sox, and enjoyed the bus trips to Fenway with her family. She will be dearly missed by many. Michelle leaves her wife, Brenda Atwell, and their son, Patrick Atwell, both of South Hadley. She also leaves her sister, Kathy Collins and husband, Eddie, of Chicopee; brother, Edward St. Peter and wife, Luanne, of Michigan; nieces and nephews, Todd Collins and wife Terri, Katie Rowland and husband Tom, Matthew St. Peter and wife Amy, Dean St. Peter and wife Sarah, and Marie St. Peter; as well as many cousins and well-loved friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 4-6pm with a Catholic memorial service to begin at 6pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michelle's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital by visiting stjude.org.
