Robert Henry Camus, Sr.

Robert (Bob) Henry Camus, Sr., a Korean War Veteran, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Baystate Medical Center.

Bob was born in Schneider, Indiana, the third of six children of Louis and Anna (Martin) Camus.

Bob had many jobs during his lifetime where he learned carpentry, tile work and general construction as well as golf course maintenance. He was active in the Town of Granby, serving on various committees/Boards including the Energy Committee and the Council on Aging Advisory Board.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife and partner of 54 years, Lillian Camus, his sons Bob, Jr., and Larry and his daughter, Tricia Ouellette (Bob), grandchildren Neal and Andy Ouellette, Christopher Camus and Aimee Jean Welch (Eric), great-grandchildren Autumn, Liam and Peyton Welch.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Anna Camus, his brothers Louis, Jr., Ronald and Richard and his sisters June and Mary Ann.

At Bob’s request there are no calling hours or funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob’s memory should be made to your favorite charity.
